Northwest Aerials is proud to offer high-quality programs that cater to gymnasts of all ages and abilities.

Our recreational programs challenge students to improve their athleticism as well as their social skills.

Our recreational gymnastics classes are offered for gymnasts of all ages and skill levels.

  • Wiggle Worms: A 45-minute drop-in parent/child class for children ages 10 months (or walking age) to 3 years in which students will have the opportunity to develop their skills on the floor, on the trampoline, and in our preschool gymnastics room. Emphasis in these classes will be on taking turns and following directions while developing athletic skills in a gymnastics setting and gaining both confidence and independence.

  • Mighty Mites: A class designed to introduce 2-3 year-old's to the fundamentals of gymnastics. These classes are designed to develop proper gymnastics fundamentals while also increasing self-awareness and self-confidence.

  • Super Mites: A class designed to introduce 4-5 year-old's to the fundamentals of gymnastics. These classes are designed to develop proper gymnastics fundamentals while also increasing self-awareness and self-confidence. Students will move into either Beginning or Little Aerials after this class.

  • Beginning: A class designed to introduce gymnast to many of the most common skills in all areas of gymnastics, including tumbling, vault, bars, trampoline, and beam. A positive learning experience in our beginning classes will allow students to develop strength, coordination, and agility are progressing at his or her own level. All students ages 6 to 10 they register for this class.

  • Advanced Beginning: A class designed for gymnasts with general experience and knowledge to further develop their gymnastics abilities on the bars, beam, floor, vault, and trampoline. Students will be recommended for this class by one of the Northwest Aerials coaches following high-performance in beginning. USA gymnastics levels one through three skills will be taught on all apparatus

  • Intermediate: A class designed for gymnasts with extensive experience on the bars, beam, floor, vault, and trampoline to continue to develop and improve their skills. Students will be recommended for this class by one of the Northwest Aerials coaches following high performance in advanced beginning. USA Gymnastics levels 1-3 skills will be taught on all apparatus.

  • Advanced 1: A class designed for gymnasts with the skill level equivalent to that of a competitive Level 2 or Xcel Silver gymnast on the bars, beam, floor, vault, and trampoline. Students will be recommended for this class by one of the Northwest Aerials coaches following high-performance in intermediate. USA Gymnastics levels 1-3 skills will be taught on all apparatus.

  • Advanced 2: A class designed for gymnasts with the skill level equivalent to or exceeding that of a competitive Level 3 or Xcel Gold gymnast on the bars, beam, floor, vault, and trampoline. Students will be recommended for this class by one of the Northwest Aerials coaches following high-performance in intermediate. USA Gymnastics levels 1-3 skills will be taught on all apparatus.

  • Little Aerials: A class for gymnasts ages 4-7 (the second option following Mighty Mites) who progressed very quickly in our Early Beginnings classes and intend to pursue a spot on the Northwest Aerials competitive gymnastics team. Students will be recommended for this class by one of the Northwest Aerials coaches. USA gymnastics levels 1 to 3 schools will be taught on all apparatus.

  • Super Aerials: A class for gymnasts ages 4-8 who are almost ready to join our competitive program. Students will be recommended for this class by one of the Northwest Aerials coaches following high-performance in little Aerials. USA gymnastics level one through three skills will be taught on all apparatus.

  • Teen/Adult: A class for gymnasts ages 10-19 of all skill levels. Coaches will provide support and feedback throughout the 1.5-hour class, during which gymnasts will have the opportunity to improve desired skills on the bars, beam, floor, vault, and trampoline.

With 2 in-ground trampoline, 2 double mini trampolines, 2 above-ground trampolines, and a Tumbl-Trak, Northwest Aerials Gymnastics has all the resources to offer superior trampoline instruction to athletes of all ability levels. We offer classes for children ages 3.5-5 and 6-10.

Ninja

Ninja

Inspired by the television show, American Ninja Warriors, the Ninja Program at Northwest Aerials offers several customized obstacles and challenge course elements that are sure to help improve the ninja skills of students of all ability levels.
  • Little Ninjas: This class is offered for children ages 3.5 – 5. Using a curriculum designed to improve both confidence and skill, our Little Ninjas will have the opportunity to push the limits of their strength and agility.

  • Ninja 1: Reinforcing and building upon the core skills taught in Little Ninjas, this beginners’ level class will present students ages 6 – 10 with increasingly challenging obstacles to improve strength and coordination.

  • Ninja 2: Ninja students must be recommended by an instructor to move into our most advanced ninja class, Ninja 2. In this class, students ages 6 – 10 will be lead through courses that include our most difficult and rigorous obstacles.

 

  • Preteen Ninja/Trampoline: Children ages 11 – 12 are invited to continue their work on our ninja equipment and compliment this training with trampoline instruction. This class will prove to be both challenging and fun for our older ninja students.

Swimming

Northwest Aerials features a 40-foot-long outdoor pool heated to 90°F that is 4 1/2 feet deep at its deepest point. This allows us to provide an ideal environment for children to begin learning how to swim independently and a fun and safe way, starting as young as age 2. Our swimming program encourages students to develop the strength and confidence necessary to safely and effectively improve their swimming skills.
  • Guppies: a parent/child class designed to introduce children to the water and orient them to common safety practices.

  • Super Aqua Kids: A course designed for swimmers to develop independence. Many tools, including a float system, will be utilized to allow children to work towards swimming freely at their own pace.

  • Beginning: a course designed to improve technique of swimmers once they have the skills and strength to cross the pool unassisted. Most common and critical swimming skills and techniques will be taught in this class. Students will be recommended for this class by one of the Northwest Aerials coaches following high performance in Super Aqua.

  • Intermediate: a class designed to polish swimming technique and develop endurance. Students will be recommended for this class by one of the Northwest Aerials coaches following high performance in Beginning.

Dance / Gymnastics

Our Dance/Gymnastics classes offer students an opportunity to capitalize on the many benefits gymnastics offers while also being exposed to the art and beauty of dance. These classes are designed to help students apply the coordination and strength developed in gymnastics in creative ways.

Ballet/Gymnastics: A class designed to integrate the elegance of dance with the coordination of
gymnastics. We offer this combination class for students ages 2.5 – 6. In a 45-minute class, students can
expect half to be dedicated to gymnastics and half to dance.


Ballet/Tap/Gymnastics: With all the features of Ballet Gymnastics, this class alternates the dance portion
each week with Tap instruction, providing a foundation for students’ rhythm and coordination. Again,
this combination is offered for students ages 2.5 – 6 and will be formatted as a split 45-minute session.


Breakdancing: This class provides young dancers with a chance to develop strength and rhythm in
tandem. Taught by one of the best break-dancers in town, this unique class will appeal to students of all
ability levels. Classes run for 55 minutes and are primarily offered for students ages 6 – 10.
