1. MAKE-UP CLASSES: For absences due to illness or emergencies you may pre-schedule a make up class through the office not more than 48 hours prior to the desired class (in classes with no more than 6 students registered). One make-up class/ session is allowed. Dance and gymnastics students will receive a gymnastics make-up class. Make-up classes must be done the session you missed your class. If a student does not receive 8 classes during a session due to holidays or snow closures (NWA follows the Lake Washington School District for snow closure; late school start does not affect our classes) they are entitled to a make-up class. Classes with only one student will be reduced to 75% of the normal class time for that class.
2. PAYMENT POLICY: NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS: Students who take a class during the session are responsible for paying full tuition for that session. Tuition is due your last class of the session for the next session. A $10.00 late fee is assessed after the 1st week of the session. Tuition is based on students receiving 8 classes during the session.
3. REGISTRATION FEE: There will be a $50.00 annual registration fee per family.
4. OBSERVATION: Parents are invited to observe gymnastics classes but must
remain in the seating section. Children not in classes must remain in the
seating section. Dance classes may be watched through the viewing windows.
5. ATTIRE: Gymnastics: Leotards are preferred for girls, shorts (no buckles or zippers) or warm ups with a T-shirt are acceptable for boys and girls. Long hair must be pulled back. FOOTWEAR IS REQUIRED: gymnastics shoes or ballet slippers are preferred (socks are acceptable). Dance: appropriate shoes must be worn for their class: tap shoes for tap classes, ballet slippers for ballet classes, and jazz shoes or ballet slippers for jazz and street jazz classes. Leotards should be worn by all female dancers. Students should put unused belongings in the cubbies behind the bleachers.
6. PRACTICE RULES:
1. No gum, food or beverages may be consumed during
the class. No food or beverages are allowed in the performing area.
2. Jewelry should not be worn.
3. If you are on medication, or reduced exercise
program from your doctor, please inform your coach/instructor.
7. LOST & FOUND: All items left at the gym are placed in the lost and found bucket by the downstairs cubbies. Items left, lost or stolen are not the responsibility of Northwest Aerials. Lost & Found items are donated to charity the first week of each month.
8. ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE: Students should arrive for class no earlier than 5 minutes prior to their class, and should leave promptly after class. Gymnasts are not allowed on the apparatus before or after class (they must remain in the upstairs seating area).
